Accomplishments

In a suit against the City of Dallas regarding nuisance demolitions, we were able to significantly limit a city's right to demolish a property owner's home under the city's police powers and thereby avoid paying compensation to the homeowner when the city's actions are later determined by a court to be wrongful.  This case changed the law significantly in the State of Texas as to homeowner's constitutional protection against takings.
